If you’ve already read this article on making meal planning a breeze, you may be familiar with my approach.
I thought it would be fun to take this process further and create a mini questionnaire, similar to the one I used to use when I was assisting my clients in meal planning (and help their children poop every day – but that’s a story for another day).
If you need help meal planning, keep reading. 💞
For the purpose of this exercise, I’m assuming that you’re responsible for meal planning, creating a shopping list and preparing meals. If meal planning isn’t part of your role, feel free to pass this post to the person who is.
Once you’ve submitted the form below, both of us will receive a copy by email. I’ll do my best to reply to you as soon as possible.
Without further ado, let’s get started with these five simple questions.
With your meal plan in place, it’s time to make a shopping list. Don’t forget to plan for having leftovers (if you don’t mind them), which means that you need to double or triple some recipes.
Consider batch cooking to streamline your meals and minimize waste. I often make a triple batch so we eat one batch that evening, we eat the second one the next day and I freeze the third one for later.

Easy Meal Planning Tips
One important thing to remember is that meal planning should be flexible – be open to changes and adjustments throughout the week.
Don’t be afraid:
- to substitute ingredients
- change the order of meals
- skip a meal if you’re in the mood to make something else you already have the ingredients for
- get take-out if you’re not in the mood for cooking. 😊
I can’t wait to see your plans!
