Description

Start your day with a bowl of creamy, chocolatey oatmeal goodness that’s both indulgent and nourishing. This oatmeal provides a rich taste with a perfect balance of sweetness, making it an irresistible breakfast option. Topped with crunchy walnuts, hemp seeds and your favourite fresh fruit, it’s a delicious way to fuel your body and keep you energized all day long.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 2 tbsp ground flax seeds
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 8 cups almond milk
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp vanilla extract
  • Toppings for each of the 4 containers: 1/4 cup walnut pieces, 1 tbsp hemp seeds and your favourite fruit (see notes)

Instructions

  1. In a medium-size pot, combine oats, chia seeds, flax seeds, cocoa powder, almond milk, maple syrup and vanilla extract. Mix well.

  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring often, until the mixture begins to bubble.

  3. Remove from heat. If you prefer a thicker consistency, allow it to cool for about 10 minutes.

  4. Divide the oatmeal in 4-8 containers (depending on their size), then top with walnuts, hemp seeds and your favourite fruit.

  5. Serve cold or warm.

Enjoy!

Notes

My favourite fruit to eat with oatmeal are pineapple, strawberries, grapes and bananas.

These are the meal prep containers I use and love. They come with bamboo lids and little spoons, which make me very happy.
